Beginnings

Our baby room is a happy and welcoming place. Attachments between the staff and children are developed using the key person role, we feel this helps the youngest of children to feel safe and secure in a new environment. Children are encouraged to make discoveries and use their senses to learn about the world around them. Staff have developed a wide range of items to explore, and there are open ended opportunities to learn in an inviting environment.

The babies enjoy a range of messy play, and have sand and water play available to explore throughout the week. Each day the outdoor environment is accessed as part of the
children’s routines.

Our staff in each room have trained with either level 2 or 3, in childcare and have a good knowledge of child development. The Manager is trained to Level 4 in Business Development and NNEB trained in childcare. The Deputy is an Early Years Professional and has 5 years experience of working with
children aged 0-5. We constantly strive to seek new ways
of updating our skills with staff training high on the
management agenda.

At Beginnings we have a cook who caters for all dietary needs, she creates a balanced and healthy menu.

We aim to at ‘Beginnings Daycare’ ensure that each child is happy at nursery; they make good progress, and enjoy their time with us. Our Ofsted report dated January 2010 showed we are a good setting.

If you are interested in a place at our nursery for your child, then please ring up to make an appointment to view the nursery or drop by and say hello. We offer free funded places for 3-5 year olds of up to 15 hours per week. We also offer up to 15 hours free for 2 year olds for parents who may be accessing benefits.  Our nursery is open for 51 weeks a year from 8am to 6pm in order to provide a flexible service for our parents.
