Our aims from the start have always been to support young people as they grow up to be good members of their community. The Department’s mission statement is, “To work with every young person in the city of Lincoln building their self esteem and supporting social development using sport, creative arts and participation in activities“. We have focused a lot more on the deprived areas of the city as we believe in affecting communities in a positive way. Young people are so important and we believe that if you can focus them in the right way there is so much potential within them.
We have grown as a department and now have five full time staff and one part time administrative support. We are working in over twenty primary schools and have worked in five secondary schools.
There are many sides to the work and we are running over twenty after school clubs, we are involved in PE and Arts curriculum; we are also doing one to one classroom support and are running many activity courses across the county.
