Your new role:

We are looking for a talented community development professional who is adept at spotting a social need, developing a plan to tackle community based challenges, and proactively finds innovative ways to support communities.    The Director of Communities is a prominent position within the organisation and has such a diverse range of responsibilities, that it will be a great challenge for someone looking to take their first or second position in a Director’s role.

The role requires a strong, visible, outgoing leader to identify and deliver strategic development opportunities in line with the organisation’s strategic aims, whilst also taking responsibility for income generation for the Children, Youth and Family Services and Communities functions.

The post holder will be required to raise the profile of the work undertaken by Lincolnshire YMCA whilst building strong connections and partnerships across Lincolnshire, to position our charity as a trusted partner of choice.

The successful candidate will have experience working in the public or voluntary sector, ideally for a charity (or similar) organisation. They also must have a good understanding of the challenges that are faced by the rural and urban communities of Lincolnshire.
