Job Title: Fundraising Manager

Hours: Full time 37.5 hrs/week, Some evening/weekend work may be required

Salary: Negotiable for right candidate

Location: Lincolnshire YMCA – The Showroom, Lincoln – with some travel to other sites.

Job Purpose: To take overall management responsibility for the Fundraising functions of YMCA Lincolnshire. To lead and follow up opportunities to raise funds for the charity and its activities, including building relationships with donors.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement an exciting programme of community fundraising events and to lead on the delivery of these events.

  • Develop and implement individual fundraising campaigns, events and donation collections.

  • Develop and manage a programme to secure both regular and one-off donations from our supporters.

  • Work with service directors and managers to identify appropriate ‘project teams’ to deliver against funded projects.

  • Identify trusts, foundations and public tendering opportunities of benefit and value to YMCA Lincolnshire and its work – in line with strategy for growth.

Person Specification:

  • Substantial previous experience in a fundraising management position, or senior fundraising role.

  • Experience of people and programme management.

  • Experience of developing successful fundraising campaigns.

  • A demonstrable knowledge of trusts and foundations.

  • A strong desire and passion to work with, support and develop the work of YMCA Lincolnshire.

  • The ability to effectively engage communities, with excellent communication and organisational skills.

  • Experience of completing successful funding applications and achieving sustainable services within a third sector environment.
