Hours: Bank, to include weekends, evenings and weekdays.
Salary: £8.91 per hour
To assist the Hospitality & Events Manager with the running of the hospitality department and events within The Showroom. To provide high levels of customer service at all times. The role will assign equal importance to event delivery and high-quality administrative support.
Providing reception duties (as and when required) for The Showroom, meeting and greeting clients; providing excellent customer service, at all times.
Assist and organise in room set up for bookings in accordance with customer requirements.
To cash up daily takings when required.
Prepare and serve barista style refreshments for the café area and also for hospitality events as and when required.
Prepare pre-packed lunches for hospitality delegates and also small plate meals as and when necessary.
Dealing with face-to-face and email customer enquiries.
Administrative duties including, but not limited to, use of booking and EPOS systems, Office packages.
Processing and recording information in accordance with company procedure and GDPR.
To help ensure compliance with health and safety, licensing laws and other legal regulations
To carry out other duties within the scope of the post, as directed by the Hospitality and Events Manager or Coordinator.
Experience of working within a Conference, Hospitality or Catering environment or similar events role.
Experience of working effectively as part of a team.
Working knowledge of Office packages, booking systems and EPOS packages
Must be flexible as hours will change according to event bookings
Confident and enthusiastic with strong interpersonal skills for a variety of situations.
Excellent organisation skills, attention to detail & the ability to work professionally under pressure.
Ability to handle confidential information and exercise discretion and tact.
Self-motivated and able to prioritise and manage own workload to ensure delivery with agreed levels.
A flexible approach to working hours, evening and weekend work will be required.
Clear understanding of reputational and service standards required by the Charity.
