Job Title: HR Officer – Maternity Cover
Responsible to: Corporate Services Director
Closing Date: Friday 9th August
Salary Range: £21,000 – £25,000
Hours per week: 22.5 per week

Job Purpose
To provide proactive, practical and consistent support and advice on HR Policy, procedure, best practice and employment legislation to facilitate the achievement of Lincolnshire YMCA’s aims and business objectives.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Knowledge

Minimum CIPD Qualification or working towards
Understanding of employment law and legislation
A working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages

Working knowledge of computerised HR databases, preferably “Simply Personnel”

Experience
Experience of using initiative in problem-solving and decision-making on issues with some degree of complexity with minimal recourse to line manager.

Skills and Abilities

An articulate communicator with ability to explain and interpret written and statistical information

An excellent level of written communication

Presentation skills

Ability to prioritise own work in keeping with agreed levels.

Commitment to the Christian Aims and Purposes of the YMCA and Christian leadership skills.
