We have an exciting opportunity to join our friendly TED Ageing Better in East Lindsey team. Community Connections uses the power of a cuppa, cake and company to develop meaningful connections between people and support communities to take the lead.

The YMCA Lincolnshire Communities team works throughout Lincolnshire to make a positive difference to the lives of individuals and communities in the region. TED Ageing Better in East Lindsey is a National Lottery Community Fund funded project through the Ageing Better Programme. It is an ambitious project aimed at addressing social isolation and loneliness of people over 50, within rurally isolated communities across East Lindsey.

We have an exciting opportunity for a community-focussed professional with excellent people skills, to join the team as it moves into its final phase of delivery and legacy planning. The TED Community Officer will be responsible for co-ordinating and facilitating Friendship activities across the TED Programme, working with the TED team and commissioned partners in order to expand socialisation options and increase the number of connections available to older people in East Lindsey.

The role requires an experienced professional with knowledge and track record of project delivery within a community context, as well as providing support to volunteers. We require a team-player, an excellent communicator and a real people person for this role

Travel is required and therefore access to your own car will be essential to this role, as well as a willingness to work outside of normal office hours when required.

An enhanced DBS check will be required for any post that puts the applicant into contact with children, young people and/or vulnerable adults.
