YMCA Lincolnshire is a charity working within the city of Lincoln to support anyone who is homeless. People can become homeless for so many different reasons but the one thing every homeless person has in common is that they need help and support.
We believe that the least every one of us deserves is dignity, a safe space and a place where we can have a sense of belonging.
Our aim is to take people from street homeless to independent living, we welcome people in and empower them by providing opportunities where they can become part of a community where everyone can belong, contribute, thrive and work towards achieving their true potential.
For most of us Christmas is a wonderful, magical time but for some it can be the loneliest most frightening time of year. Every year we try and give each of our residents a Christmas present in the form of a shoe box packed with goodies. We have up to 175 residents so I would like to ask for your help in doing this, this year.
If you are able to help you could do this by:
- Fill and donate a shoe box ready to be given out as a gift.
- Donating items for us to put in boxes
- Donating your empty shoe boxes for us to fill.
If you are able to donate items or fill a box please consider the following suggested items:
Please drop off shoebox donations by Friday 11th December to either:
- The Showroom, Tritton Rd, Lincoln or
- YMCA Hostel Reception, St Rumbolds St, Lincoln
Please do not put alcohol in the boxes. If you make up a box please label whether it is for a male or female.
Thank you in advance for any support you may be able to offer
