Chris Kirkwood is set to join YMCA Lincolnshire as Director of Community Development. Chris joins the 150 year old charity from the Lincoln Drill Hall, where he has spent over 7 years as CEO. His new role will be to spearhead the charity’s childcare and youth work and drive forward its award winning programmes supporting vulnerable people across Lincolnshire. Chris will also take on the responsibility for the charity’s fundraising activities.
Chris has extensive leadership and community engagement experience in the arts and creative sector, and it is hoped that he will use this expertise to drive innovative, ground breaking community development projects at the YMCA.
Chris Kirkwood said:
‘I’m delighted to be joining YMCA Lincolnshire as Director of Community Development. In the current climate, the range of services provided by the charity is so important.
Caroline Killeavy, Chief Executive of YMCA Lincolnshire said:
“I’m very much looking forward to welcoming Chris to the YMCA family. Our team has been working hard to sustain essential services across Lincolnshire throughout lockdown, supporting young people, families and those who may be vulnerable and isolated.
As we look to the future I’m excited by the energy, creativity and innovation Chris will bring to our team, enabling us to reach even more communities needing our support”.
Chris will take up his role in December.
