Welcome to YMCA Lincolnshire
At YMCA Lincolnshire we believe every person is of equal value and should be given the support and guidance they need to ensure they can reach their full potential.
We work with people of all ages and backgrounds in a variety of different ways to support our local communities, making them into places where people can truly belong is our focus.
We work in 5 key areas; Day Care, Youth Work, Emergency Accommodation, Housing and Training, whilst also running Retail, Conferencing and Climbing facilities to help fund our services in Lincolnshire.
YMCA Lincolnshire is part of a much wider movement both nationally and internationally and, while retaining local autonomy, we often benefit from the strength and resources of the national movement.
Coronavirus (Covid-19) update
YMCA Lincolnshire’s priority is the wellbeing, health and safety of its residents, customers, employees, volunteers and the community. We are following all of the guidance and advice of the Government, Public Health England and the NHS in regards to Covid-19.
We have risk-assessed our staff, residents, clients and volunteers.
We have closed some of our services to minimise the risk to others, these include:
- The Showroom Conference Centre
- The Showroom Gym
- The Showroom Activity Centre
- Offices of YMCA Lincolnshire
- Community Lincs
- Changed delivery of TED – Aging Better in East Lindsey
However, our housing including our Nomad Centre and elderly services are continuing to run. Both of our Nurseries (Woodlands and Beginnings) are still open for children of key workers in our community and for vulnerable children. The Showroom Climbing Centre is also open to competent climbers, visit the Climbing section of this website for more information. All of these services have been supported by our fantastic maintenance staff.
We are also redeploying staff members from our conference, climbing and activities teams in a collaborative team effort to keep these key services operational. Other back-office staff who can work from home are working remotely in line with Government guidance.
Our valued staff are paramount to the continuing of these services and we are taking all necessary measures to ensure that we can deliver this safely and with minimal disruption throughout this period.
We are also being supported by Lincolnshire Active Faith Network for a chaplaincy service, which we appreciate very much, thank you.
We are also taking donations during these unprecedented times, which you can donate to us directly here.
All donations are welcome and appreciated.
