History, Her Story, My Story, Our Story

We worked with four communities across the county to explore the heritage of their area through bespoke intergenerational projects. Our Community Development team worked with groups in Woodall Spa, Lincoln, Sutton-On-Sea and Gainsborough to explore events and moments from their history with both younger and older residents resulting in a shared understanding and love of their place.

Our Projects

Using money raised by National Lottery players, the National Lottery Heritage Fund supports projects that connect people and communities with the UK’s heritage. The YMCA Lincolnshire Intergenerational Project was made possible with the National Lottery Heritage Fund and thanks to National Lottery players.

Floods of Memories

This project explored the devastating events of the East Coast Floods in 1953.  Stories were researched, shared and re-created through sand art.

Gainsborough Riverside Heritage Trail
