Team YMCA Lincolnshire Take on The City of Lincoln 10K!

YMCA Lincolnshire was pleased to be part of the City of Lincoln 10K once again this year, and what an incredible day it was! The atmosphere was outstanding, the community spirit was strong and our amazing runners truly did us proud.

This year, 19 passionate individuals ran in support of YMCA Lincolnshire, helping to raise vital funds to help us ensure that people and communities across the county have the opportunity to belong, contribute and thrive so that they feel safe, valued and fulfilled. From providing supported accommodation and youth services, to delivering early years education and community programmes, the money raised will go directly towards making a real difference in people’s lives.

We want to say a massive thank you to every single runner who laced up their running shoes and took on the 10K with great enthusiasm. Whether it was your first race or our fiftieth, your dedication and energy didn’t go unnoticed. You represented YMCA Lincolnshire in your t-shirts with pride, and we are incredibly grateful for your support.

We also want to give a huge shoutout to our incredible volunteers who helped make the day such a success. From cheering on the side-lines, to marshalling the race, your time and efforts were invaluable. Thank you also to the Community Champions at Wragby Road and Canwick Road Tescos for not only volunteering on the day but also providing drinks and snacks for our runner’s goody bags.

And of course, a sincere thank you to all of our generous donors who gave what they could to supports our runners and our mission, every donation, big or small, helps us continue providing essential services to those who need them most.

Events like the City of Lincoln 10K remind us just how powerful our community can be.
